On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I want to personally thank you for your continued support of the Butts County Chamber of Commerce.
One important venture has been initiated by the Board of Directors for FY 2007. The Board has created a new Government Relations Committee to serve in immediate implementation of a MINUTE MAN PROGRAM.
The purpose of the MINUTE MAN PROGRAM is to assist all local businesses negatively impacted by governmental regulations and bureaucracy. The committee is composed of representatives from cities of Jackson, Flovilla and Jenkinsburg, Butts County, the Industrial Development Authority, Chamber President, Executive Director and the Water/Sewer Authority. Members of this Committee will meet on-call with each company representative to discuss existing or potential problems (i.e. zoning, building codes, water/sewer installations, business license, etc) and to develop alternative methods to remediate the issue.
